"Customising other aspects of the desktop" link works extremely slowly

Ubuntu 8.04; Ubuntu 8.10; Ubuntu Maverick beta

1. Open Ubuntu Help.
2. Click "Customising your Desktop" (in 8.04 or 8.10) or "Customizing your computer" (in Maverick).
3. Click "Customising other aspects of the desktop".

What should happen: The link takes you to a page near-instantly, i.e. within 1 second.

What actually happens:
* With Ubuntu 8.04 on a Toshiba Satellite SA-50, the page takes 14 seconds to appear.
* With Ubuntu 8.10 on a MacBook early 2008, the page takes 7 seconds to appear.
* With Ubuntu Maverick beta on a MacBook early 2008, the page takes 6.5 seconds to appear.

By the time it appears you've long since given up and closed the help or gone somewhere else.

Hmmm, actually, it does seem to load for me, but it takes a long time. If you leave it loading for a while, does it eventually appear?

Hey, you're right. But it's so slow I doubt many people will realize that it actually works.

It works fine for me. Loads in about 1 1/2 seconds. I do however see bug #227956. This install of Hardy is only a few days old.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

This link isn't present in Natty but with the work that has gone into yelp 3, yelp is now very fast and opens all documents I have tried very quickly. So I'm marking this as fixed.
