Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-control-
Having manually edited of xorg.conf to set Virtual as described in bug #220563 on my system I find that the screen-resolution settings are not preserved between different logins.
Go to System -> Preferences -> Screen Resolution and set up dual monitors. This generally works once the manual bit of xorg.conf is set, though it usually takes a couple of attempts to get everything the right way around.
I expect the settings to be preserved between logins but in practice I have to use the screen-resolution tool every login as the system defaults to one monitor or cloned monitors.

thank you for your bug report. do you have a monitors.xml file created in your .gnome2 user directory? could you attach it to the bug? do you know how to apply a patch to a package and rebuild it? the change on http:// cvs.fedoraproje ct.org/ viewcvs/ rpms/gnome- desktop/ F-9/add- randr-12. patch?r1= 1.18&r2= 1.19&sortby= date&makepatch= 1&diff_ format= h could fix this issue, we can build a test package for you if required in which case what architecture do you use?
