Bug Description
Binary package hint: evolution
On April 26, 2008 I downloaded the usual patches and fixes on my Ubuntu 7.10. Later that evening I realized that I could not connect to my Exchange server giving me the error message "Could not connect to the server". I checked with the Exchange Admin who says that nothing has changed on the exchange server. I recently reinstalled 7.10 with Evolution 2.12.1 and it works just fine. I believe that the updates may have brought me up to Evolution version 2.12.3 but cannot confirm that this is the problem. Later when 8.04 came out I went ahead with the upgrade thinking that a fix may be in store with the newer Evolution version of 2.22.1 but it produces the same error.
I have checked all my settings, OWA URL, etc. but no go. One thing: I tried to connect to a non-SSL OWA URL connection at work and it worked just fine so am wondering about the secure connection to the Exchange back-end?
Hope this will be fixed as I am ready to start exploring other options for keeping in sync with the Exchange server!
