Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04, and in doing so upgraded to Openoffice.org 2.4, however OO will neither save nor open documents from within the program.

it's not just open office, it seems to effect all document editors such as the GIMP and Text editor
