Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

OS: Hardy Heron AMD64.
Hardware: AMD64 X2 4200, Asus A8N SLI Premium, 2 GB Corsair, WD 74 GB Raptor, WD 250GB Caviar, Linksys WPG54, Audigy 4.

Using Ubuntu studio Icon theme
Clearlooks
Comix Cursors

Open Nautilus.
Open up backgrounds and emblems dialog.
Choose emblems.
Add a new emblem.
Type a name for the Emblem.
Navigate to the directory containing your emblem picture file.

Select the new emblem and a message will pop-up saying that you have an invalid picture file.
Any of the existing files which are emblems already(!) will also fail. I tried both PNG or SVG.

Well, the bug is reported, fixed on upstream and the report closed. But...

Will be there a package update to fix this issue in Hardy Heron?

update-manager sent me Nautilus 1:2.22.2-0ubuntu6 today, and it does not include this fix. :( where exactly has the fix been released?

the fix has been commited to the upstream svn, there is no new available yet and that's why the ubuntu is not closed yet

This bug is in the Interpid version of Nautilus as well. It's been a month since the bug was reported fixed upstream. Where is the new Nautilus package?

Oh, nevermind. I see it is in a different repository than usual. Is "intrepid-proposed" safe to add to /etc/apt/sources.list? From the name it looks like it'll be even more unstable than "intrepid".. :o
