Sunbird does not load remote calendar data

Sunbird 0.7 is not showing any of my remote calendar data. I have tried google iCal and my work CalDav and Sunbird does not show events from either. Forcing reloading of the calendars does not help. Error Console is empty.

Note that the 0.8 release installed from mozilla's website works fine. I would suggest an upgrade to 0.8 for Hardy.

We are not able to upgrade HArdys until we include it in Interpid as for your bug in Hardy this seems to be an upgrade that caused this but i will look into it further. When i say upgrade i dont mean your fault has something to do with upgrade from gutsy to hardy but i wont know for sure until i get a chance to look into it. We are working on getting 0.8 into mozillateam ppa but there are a bunch of bugs in 0.8 during build so please be patient and hopfully by end of next week we should have it all worked out.

We cant fix this in Hardy without uploading 0.8 so marking as wont fix until we can official back port it to Hardy but i wont need a bug report for that since that was my plan anyway

Asac uploaded it to the mozilla PPA it should be ready to use in ~3 or so hours, I havent gotten a chance to look at it but please feel free to test it out to see if bugs are gone.

first of all thanks for your fast answer.

i've tried the patch and it looks to work fine and i've recovered the
calendars so good job and congratulations!!

however, lighting menus appear now in english and although it is not a
big problem i would prefer them in spanish.

offtopic: as i have a lot of hangs with compiz (6 yesterday, 2 today)
i'm looking for a guide to learn how to restart X (ctrl-alt-bck doesn't
work, and i can't pass to text console and kill because keyboard and
monitor freezes; the only thing that works is altprnt-RSEIUB), do you
know a good one?

We just wanted to get a base package out that is why it was done right away and not done with langpacks ect.. things have changed on how we do things with lang packs for firefox and tb i just found out yesterday but i will grab our lead mozilla developer and ask him to catch me up on off hours.

Andrew just an update but im finishing up on 0.8 for Hardy-backports by fixing/closng bugs either fixed in 0.8 or im working on for 0.8 i should be done and will push to PPA before someone pushes the package into backports.
