Can not upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04

Bug Description

After 2 hours of upgrade process, I get the attached message.

Well not reproducible as I do not get the same error, but i also can not get to upgrade.

Right now I go to: system - administration - update manager. The system will check for updates, tell me that everything is up to date, but does not provide me with the option to upgrade.

Please attach your /var/log/apt/term.log, it will show what the problem is.

to us non-technical folks this reads as:

Please attach your /bla/bla/bla/blablablabla.log,

Just click the browse button when adding a comment/attachment (on this page).
On the left side you can click on "File System", then browse to var -> log -> apt and choose the term.log file

Hope this helps. If you need more instructions just ask.

We are closing this bug report because it lacks the information we need to investigate the problem, as described in the previous comments. Moreover it is advised to disable any third party repositories (like the ppa in your screenshot) to avoid this kind of failure.
