Bug Description

Tested only on Inkscape version 0.46 running under Windows XP.

It seems that the state of being maximized is not remembered under certain circumstances.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Maximize Inkscape.
2. Minimize Inkscape and activate another window.
3. Reactivate Inkscape *by clicking on the taskbar.*

Notice that Inkscape has not reappeared maximized. If you use Alt-Tab to switch back to it, it will be maximized as it should.

Another instance:
1. Maximize Inkscape.
2. Quit Inkscape.
3. Rerun Inkscape. It will not be maximized.

Thanks for reporting this Kurt! It's great that you included clear steps, your Inkscape version and O/S version. Those are important.

Confirmed on WinXP SP2, running 0.46 release. My latest dev build from trunk doesn't maximise using either method - Alt-Tab or click on taskbar.

Setting to low priority, as this is only a minor annoyance.

Changed in inkscape:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Confirmed

The first problem no longer occurs (tested with SVN revision 19825 on Windows XP).

The second problem is still present.

Still not fixed... Also if you customize the dimensions of the window while it is not maximized Inkscape will not remember that window state either. Should that one get it's own bug?
