Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

I created a new group and moved a buddy to the new group. A new window was opened. It was the window-authorization request- that opens if you add a new buddy where there is a message 'Please authorize me!'. Well then, it wants to send authorization request, but I do NOT want to send another authorization request-I've alread asked for authorization when I added the buddy for the first time. That's why I click 'Cancel' button. Then the buddy is deleted-it's not in none of the groups. This way I got rid of some of my buddies:'( Of course I had expected this will just move the buddy from a group to a group, without any other authorization request and of course without deleting the buddy...

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
unfortunetely I'm not using Pidgin for quite a long time now, so I can't tell you if the issue is still present.
