Bug Description
Binary package hint: mythtv
When I try to start MythTV using the "MythTV Frontend" shortcut in the GNOME menu, nothing happens. Upon further investigation, the command used by the menu shortcut is "mythfrontend --service". Running the command in a terminal gives the error message:
.: 90: Can't open /etc/mythtv/
However, I am able to start myth-tv with the command "mythfrontend", without the --service parameter.
I'm not sure what the --service parameter does; it doesn't seem to be documented under "mythfrontend --help". It obviously depends no /etc/mythtv/
Running mythtv version "0.21.0+

According to this, that file is provided by the mythtv-frontend package:
$ apt-file search mythtv/ session- settings session- settings
mythtv-frontend: /etc/mythtv/
If you are missing it, that would explain issues starting. Perhaps we'll need to make it less dependent upon sourcing the file to do things.
