Bug Description
Using the last beta version of Mythbuntu 8.04, I was able to get an install made, however, no sound out of the PCHDTV5500. I upgraded to the new Mythbuntu Release candidate, and now it locks up with the new kernel.
rebooting with the prior kernel in the beta version, I blacklisted cx88-alsa in /etc/modprobe.
MSI media live,(MS-6421 with latest bios)
AMD athlon 64x2 5600,
2 Gb ram, 650 Gb WD HD
PCHDTV5500
I need the cx88-alsa libs to work, since this Motherboard has no line-in.
I am used to the vagaries of Mandriva, this is my first experience with Ubuntu
