Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager, network-manager-applet

On my Ubuntu 8.04 Beta (latest updates) on my IBM Thinkpad T42 laptop, after wireless card is disabled from the nm-applet, suspending the laptop and then back on, the wireless card is automatically enabled while at the same time not indicated by the nm-applet (it still indicates that the wireless card is disabled (which is not true). After this, to re-disable the wireless card using the network manager applet, I have to re-tick the wireless card and then remove the tick in order to disable the card again.

please attach a complete syslog taking after reproducing this issue.

Also if you have a chance (and are brave ;)) test the NM 0.7 packages in intrepid or the network-manager team PPA in launchpad for hardy.

Thanks!

Can you still reproduce this with Intrepid? If yes, could you please add the /var/log/syslog to your bug report as an attachment? Also you can submit more information for it by looking to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingNetworkManager , Thanks in advance.
