Huge and wrong font size problem in firefox

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

On some websites the font size is displayed too big.
See the attached screenshot. I have not edited any font settings in Firefox, but have edited some (in my opinion) unrelated settings (such as default download location etc). The version I am using is the latest ff3b5 package in the Ubuntu hardy repo's as of today, April 20th 2008.

I Installed the updates from the past 2 days, the problem seems fixed now.
I guess this could be marked as invalid. If the problem pops up again, I'll post it here.

I am having this problem as well, specifically with sites like www.nu.nl. It looks so bad, it almost hurt my eyes;-) (check the attachment) I think it has to do with the screen resolution as well (1920 X 1200) on my Dell Precision M4300 with an nVidia Quadro FX 360M graphics card. When I check the same site on another Ubuntu Hardy workstation with a 1600 X 1200 resolution, it looks fine.

www.nu.nl is giving me problems as well.

Here's how this bug report looks on my machine.

Ubuntu 8.04
Resolution: 1400x1050
Driver: fglrx 8.4

Some fonts have the correct size and others are way to big.

Perhaps this isn't a FF3-only bug, I'm experiencing similar effects in Eclipse Europa (See the attachment).

Interesting bit about eclipse: the problem isn't happening in Ganymede (eclipse 3.4) on my 8.04 system (32 bits).
I'll check to see if it's happening on eclipse 3.3 straight from the eclipse site, and post my findings here.

Nope, the huge font bug isn't happening in the vanilla eclipse 3.3 either.

I have the same problem with my Firefox in Ubuntu 8.

This problem so far is happening only in the Blogger page. Even after login in in the Blogger site the caps remain huge.
The first time it happened was when I was working with some JavaScript in one of the page elements.
If I switch to SeaMonkey or Opera browser the Blogger site appears with normal size caps. This is only happening in Firefox and only in the Blogger page so far.

some dpi issues were fixed since this bug was filed. If there are still issues left, please open new bugs.
