8.04 Desktop RC failed to install (Wubi)

From my understandings of the logs, the install failed when it called the Migration Assistant (about 70-80% of the way on first boot).

I rebooted the laptop after the failed installation error and tried to boot into Ubuntu. The installer complained about already existing swap partition and kept me in a dialog box loop.

I have the French Canadian locale on Windows XP.

This might be a duplicate of 195905. Although, I do not have a special Windows user name (single word) and the installer just said that the installation failed and that my computer would reboot.
