MyspaceIM on Pidgin continuiusly reports password error

Whenever I try to login to my MyspaceIM account, Pidgin always says I have the wrong password.
I use Kubuntu 7.04.

yea i get this too ....why cant it work??? i tried the number for my myspaceIM and the email i use to sign on myspace.com but nothing works ...

I upgraded to Kubuntu 8.04 awhile back and still have no luck. Just an
update, sorta..

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 or 9.04?
