swap partition creation fails

Bug Description
I was trying to install ubuntu after downloaded and installed wubi
when attempting to install hardy heron, it fails during swap space creation showing the message "The creation of swap space in partition #1 of /hos/ubuntu/
Then it goes to guided partitioning and displays the error box "??? ???" (clik ok)
I'm running on a hp pavillion dv2660us

This might happen if your filesystem is very fragmented. Please
uninstall, defgrament, install again and let us know whether it works
or not.
