Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde-guidance

kde-guidance-powermanager

I'm requesting a FFE for adding power consumption display to the guidance-power-manager. This will ultimately bring the guidance-power-manager feature-wise closer to the power-manager in gnome. For a laptop user this is a very nice feature, and will make it easier to see the effect of your power-saving efforts.

The U/I change is very little intrusive, as it only changes a non-interactive object in a pop-up, but is a large enchantment. Please see the attached screenshot for the change.

FWIW, I've tested this and it works and is a nice little feature.

Informational mail has been sent to ubuntu-translators@l.u.c and ubuntu-doc@l.u.c . And I'm subscribing ubuntu-release.

Just for info, I can tell that some changes is still pouring in here closing in on the freeze coming up very soon. So the upload might need to be coordinated with Scott Kitterman.

---------------
kde-guidance (0.8.0svn20080103-0ubuntu15) hardy; urgency=low

  [ Andreas Wenning ]
  * Added kubuntu_29_kde-powermanager_display_consumption_rate.patch to
    display current consumption rate. (LP: #214774).
  * Readded kubuntu_30_displayconfig_no_xorg_correct_detection.patch
    which doesn't break the api. displayconfig will detect the hardware
    automatically and write a xorg.conf if none is present on startup.
    (LP: #203378).

  [ Yuriy Kozlov ]
  * Added kubuntu_31_wineconfig_no_i18_on_keys.patch to remove i18n from
    dictionary keys, which caused crashes on non en_US locales. Should be
    removed if synced with upstream. (LP: #82723)
