Bug Description

I have Ubuntu 8.04 beta 64-bit with updates and the proprietary nvidia driver installed.

When I choose System > Preferences > Appearance Preferences > Visual Effects > Normal, the window title and border disappear and only the client area remains. It worked with 7.10 on this same computer.

I can confirm this on i386 too. It happens on 2 machines I am using. I had to turn effects off since computers were freezing constantly.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, I've noticed. I am still waiting to be able to apply the updates,
because currently I get some error message that I can't update all the
packages. I will try again and, if not successful, later I will start
with a fresh installation and updates.
