Repro Steps
--
This began occurring when I upgraded from Feisty to Gutsy. It does not reproduce 100% of the time, closer to 2/3 of the time.
1. $ /usr/bin/firefox http://www.pogo.com/games/turbo
2. Click on the room "Front Porch"
3. The Java applet window appears

Expected Result
--
The applet loads successfully and I can play my game. I am attaching a screenshot of this.

Actual Result
--
Firefox crashes.

What version of java do you have installed? If the java applet shows up but never directs you to game instead crashes its being caused by java version installed.

I am using Version 6-03 Oubuntu2 of the package sun-java6-bin. Thank

Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs, or upload (as an attachment) the crash report from /var/crash/.

These symptoms no longer reproduce for me with Firefox 3 and Java 1.6.0_06.
