I poked around with the files in /var/lib/dpkg and was able to get this working... it turns out that some of the files in there belonging to flashplugin-nonfree had been corrupted.

I seem to have the same problem with corrupt flashplugin-nonfree. I also get the error code (1)

How did you solve it? Maybe a little more detail?

Thanks!

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. To be honest I don't remember very well how I solve it (it's been a while now), I think I downloaded the flash plug in from the Adobe website. Sorry I can give you "in depth" details for the instalation, but as far as I can remember it wasn't difficult (I'm a novice with Linux but I was able to do it fairly easy).
Hope this was useful.> From: <email address hidden>> To: <email address hidden>> Date: Mon, 1 Dec 2008 13:53:02 +0000> Subject: [Bug 208918] Re: package flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.115.0ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2> > I seem to have the same problem with corrupt flashplugin-nonfree.
