Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Firefox 3 Beta 4 crashes when watching YouTube, when switching to a new, different, video while the first is still playing

Several times, I have been watching a YouTube Video and Firefox crashes and closes completely.

As an example, if I am watching a video and I decide to watch a different video and i dont first pause the current video that is playing and I select another video, FireFox crashes.

Also, the System Sound is not responding to any YouTube Videos. There is NO response or noteable change if I increase OR decrease the sound using the the Sound Control up in the Panel. The only thing that works if I increase or decrease the volume by manually pressing the buttons on the speakers themseleves.

Leonardo and Satish, please file seperate bug reports and attach the crash report found in /var/crash, or better yet use apport to file the crash report. your comments on this bug mean nothing without anyone having a valid crash report and we can only handle one crash report per bug id #

This is more of a flash bug than a firefox bug. People report your own bugs when you crash dont try to confirm others bugs as you dont know if its the same just the same site that does it. Marking back to incomplete until we recieve crash report from original reporter and everyone else file your own bugs with backtraces attached if you are still having this issue.
please run locate libflashsupport.so and post the output here. Also let me know if you have swfdec installed if so please remove it and see if you still get the crash.
REMEMBER EVERYONE REPORT YOUR OWN BUG REPORTS WHEN ITS A CRASH.

IM kind of leaning towards the swfdec crash.
Larry,
Can you please see if you have swfdec installed if so can you please
remove it and see if you can reproduce this crash again? Please obtain a
backtrace and attach it to this bug report. Instructions to obtain a
backtrace can be found at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs
