Bug Description

SRU Justification

[Impact]

The backport of git://git.samba.org/sfrench/cifs-2.6.git 5.15-backport-1-24-24 (CIFS) has caused some regressions. See LP: #2064514

[Fix]

Revert backport and restore CIFS to 5.15-backport-8-16-23

[Regression Potential]

Reverting this backport restores CIFS code to that of linux-azure 5.15.0-1064.73 which has passed regression testing.
