Bug Description

Hi, I wanted to leave feedback to help with development:

1 - I installed the system, using the minimum installation option, and connected the internet.
I edited the partitions, created boot, swap and /
I chose btrfs

2 - When booting, sometimes the system fails to start when selecting the Kubuntu system.
It always works to start the system when I hold down the Capslok button after selecting the system.
But it's trial and error, as sometimes it doesn't start.

3 - There is also an error when trying to use the two Memory test options, in the grub menu.
Both give an error, saying that there is an error in the shim, something like that.

👍

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

It is easier to start the system if, before turning off the PC, click on the battery icon and change it to energy saving.
When it is in performance, the system fails to boot even when holding capslock. But when it is in energy saving mode, boot with capslock works almost every time. 👍

This does not sound like a bug in the bootloader, and I am skeptical of that fact that it has anything to do with the state of caps lock or power saving mode.

Would you be able to provide more information on where the boot process gets stuck. (If you see the graphical logo, press escape to show the console).

This is expected, you need to disable UEFI Secure Boot to run the memory test as it is not signed and won't be signed.

Hello, when the boot fails, I get a black screen, usually when I don't press any key. Sometimes it starts without pressing any keys during boot. Regarding the esc button, the boot also worked.
But following the steps I gave previously, the boot works fine.

When the Lenovo logo appears on the screen, the boot is successful, when it does not appear, the screen remains frozen black.

Is there a command to run in the terminal? So I'll send you whatever report you need.

Very technical things I don't understand much, I'm a regular user 😄

Is there a memory and other pc hardware test program, such as a benchmark, native to Ubuntu?
I don't want to disable secure boot, I like using it 😄

You could use the Lenovo Diagnostics menu that comes in the Lenovo firmware, gotta press some key for options during boot.
