Bug Description

Today after installing Hardy Beta I could not print,

I am using the same HP Color LasterJet 2600n (kind of supported by foo2hp) - worked in all earlier ubuntu versions

I managed to locate the problem (by reading loads of debug info and log files),

Problem: An extra semi-colon is in the file:

/usr/bin/foo2hp2600-wrapper

on line 490

This is a typo - and once I removed the semi-colon I could then print again.

The version near the top of the file was:
VERSION='$Id: foo2hp2600-wrapper.in,v 1.57 2007/10/26 11:13:21 rick Exp $'

Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
Release: 8.04

I have fixed the problem now and tested with an actual HP Color LaserJet 2600n. The fix will appear with the next foo2zjs package in Hardy.

This bug was fixed in the package foo2zjs - 20071205-0ubuntu3

---------------
foo2zjs (20071205-0ubuntu3) hardy; urgency=low

  * debian/rules: Improved Perl magic for the /etc/papersize support. It broke
    some of the wrapper scripts (LP: #205716).
