As mentioned this was probably some temporary network problem.
The files are there so please try to upgrade again.

Hi Pascal,

Thanks for your advice.

There is no problem with my network and I have already tried more than 20 times (at different timings on different days) to upgrade. I received error message each time.

So I do not think the error is due to temporary network problem.

Sorry, I have been studying now in English, and my grammar is rather bad :-).

So, I have the same problem.
If I download the same file with wget, the md5sums are always different :-), very funny, hah :-).
With Ubuntu 7.04 and Windows Vista Business works the system perfectly. With Ubuntu 7.10 and 8.04 have this problem.

I have AMD Athlon 64 X2 with Asus M2N-E motherboard, 2 piece of 512MB goodram module + 2 piece of 1G kingstone module, 7600 GT VGA and Broadcom AirForce One chipset wifi (Asus).

I flashed the brand new BIOS to the motherboard, but didn't help it.
I disabled the AMD Live, AMD Virtualization, AMD Cool 'N Quiet technology, but the same...
I removed the two kingstone module, and the wget works perfect...
I removed the two goodram module, and the wget works almost perfect...

The memory are checked with memtest86, I don't know maybe Dual-Channel problem?

Okay, my system is affected with the iommu kernel bug, with the mem=2048M I can use my system very well.

I think Prad affected by the sources.list repo line duplication problem. Please use each repo only once.

So this does not seem to have anything to do with a broken archive after all. Thanks for your report!
