Bug Description

a) I have downloaded the latest Pinta 2.2-dev from master repository https://github.com/PintaProject/Pinta/actions/runs/7326780534/artifacts/1134741800 and installed on Ubuntu 23.10
b) On Ubuntu I have set Language settings to Slovenian and logged-off/logged-in.

1. From left site tools select Text and click on canvas.
2. Click on font from toolbar. Font dialog opens.
3. Select some font. I did "Noto Sans Brahmi Regular" (just one random font).
4. Now first problem appears. In the bottom it should be displayed a sample of text how font will look like if selected. But instead there are just "missing" font icons.
5. If I select this font. Another problem appears. In font toolbar, instead of font name just unknown font icons are displayed.

See attachment.

This is the standard GTK font dialog and widget so there's nothing Pinta-specific happening here. My guess is that this font doesn't have glyphs for those characters, since https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/Noto+Sans+Brahmi indicates that it's for a specific language
