Bug Description
a new grub2 has published to the noble release pocket, and now all ubuntu-server preinstalled image builds fail with a grub error:
+ chroot mountpoint grub-install /dev/loop3 --boot-
Installing for x86_64-efi platform.
grub-install: error: failed to get canonical path of `/boot/

Same error in all the riscv64 and arm64 builds (though a different boot path of course).
