Bug Description

This package is currently blocking proposed migration of libauthen-sasl-perl. The reason is that it is not compatible with the new version of this package, but it is now obsolete and has already been removed upstream.

Incidentally, the replacement package is https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libauthen-sasl-xs-perl which is now present in noble.
