I am assuming I am seeing this same issue with the Ubuntu Budgie new installer. The installer crashes at the User Data screen, and I get a similar CalledProcess error message. At this point, it skips the slideshow screen, but nothing is happening, and there is no way to back up.

I have attached the logs from /var/log/installer

I am seeing this with today's Desktop Daily:2023.11.07 amd64 build again...

And on the Arch'es of Server that are other than AMD64, which this one is Server arch S390X:2023-11-06 & 07 builds: https://bugs.launchpad.net/subiquity/+bug/2042883... But it actually has a lot more going on wrong with it.

Different Editions and installers, but all of them seem to fail, by coincidence, at the same point(???)
