Bug Description

Cinnamon Settings' background modules uses some program/Perl module that tries to display the image as a preview of images that the user could set as their desktop background.

Currently, it doesn't display anything, and going to other directories has no effect. Therefore, the desktop background cannot be changed.

The error thrown in the terminal is:

Failed to convert /usr/share/backgrounds/gnome/keys-l.jpg: module 'PIL.Image' has no attribute 'ANTIALIAS'

the best was to remove ubuntu changes not needed anymore: xdg-desktop-portal-xapp was added to ubuntu (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-desktop-portal-xapp) and also blueman remove was not needed after the fix of latest version https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/blueman/+bug/2033147

Fantu, it's too late now. Freeze block is in place. This will have to now wait until after NN opens. The indication I had from you was that only that one commit was needed, so rather than doing a wholesale sync I did a merge. When in last-minute situations such as this when functionality is paramount, we have to rely on information directly in front of us and can't go chasing everything else.
