Allow float values for font sizes

At the moment only integer sizes are selectable.

Could you give me an example of an application you think should be able to do this? and how much is 0.5 points anyway - tiny-tiny-tiny. According to Wikipedia it's between 0.18 and 0.4 mm. So I'd be hard pressed to see why anyone would need this.

I never saw a font chooser without it.
System->Settings->Appearance->Fonts

It's not "tiny-tiny-tiny", it's just a different size like 11 or 5.
Those 0.5 steps make a big difference.

Especially on different displays with different, maybe faulty dpi-values (remember that Gnome just takes 96 dpi ignoring any real dpi info X provides?) it is extremely necessary to be able to reproduce font sizes.

On my display all my default fonts are 8.5 or 9.5, because I like them _exactly_ that size.

It's not "Why would anyone need this?", it's "Why wasn't it there since day 1?".

Ignoring half of the fonts sizes is just annoying and unnecessary restrictive.

Note that the scroll increment is deliberately still at "1", not at "0,5". You can type in whatever you want however.

You're welcome! Note that this is not in a released version yet. There has not been enough development lately to warrant a new release imho, but eventually I will roll a new version :)
