I recently had firmware upgraded on my dell laptop and have upgraded unbuntu to Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
No matter what nvidia-driver options I try I cannot get to the login screen without purging nvidia drivers.

I don't see any evidence of gnome-shell or the login screen failing because apparently neither are even being attempted...
If you "purge" the Nvidia drivers then what does the boot log look like after that?
