seems like some fuckup. Problem arises some time after installer is launched.

Yep, me too.

System is Dell Precision 5570, trying to install Ubuntu 23.04 via iso on USB. I booted with safe mode graphics. (The try or install option appears to hang for at least 30 minutes.)

syslog (attached) has python segfaults (excerpt below). It appears that subiquity is immediately retrying after the segfault. Notice the restart counter at 110.

P.S. I had no trouble installing Ubuntu 22.10 on the same machine, so this seems like a regression.

Problem is present in ubuntu 23 iso image. I used ubuntu 22 and it handled installation ok.

Same problem at NUC13ANK. Fixed by disabling WiFi in BIOS.

error 4 in "_nl80211.cpython-310-x86_64-linux-gnu.so" looks like 802.11 (WiFi) related.
