Bug Description

[ Impact ]

fcitx5-zhuyin in lunar was last built with libzhuyin-dev 2.7.92, while the version of the latter is now 2.8.1, which makes fcitx5 crash if you try to switch to the Bopomofo input method.

[ Test Plan ]

On a lunar desktop machine:

* Install fcitx5
* Install the fcitx5-zhuyin package from lunar-proposed
* Change IM framework to fcitx5: im-config -n fcitx5
* Reboot
* Go to fcitx5 -> Configure -> Input Method and add Bopomofo
* Relogin
* Find that you can successfully switch to Bopomofo and input Chinese

[ Where problems could occur ]

Just a no-change rebuild.

This needs an upload to Mantic before the SRU please. That should be straightforward I think? But then the Lunar SRU would need a different version string. Doing this in Lunar and copying forward is probably no longer appropriate now that Mantic is open - let's try to keep the archive consistent now.

Separately, is there a missing versioned dependency here that also needs adding, to avoid this situation occurring again?

Hey Robie, you are fast. :)

I sync'ed from experimental to mantic, and since that change includes a new upstream, there is no issue with the version string. The change also includes a bumped dependency version.

Hello Gunnar, or anyone else affected,

Accepted fcitx5-zhuyin into lunar-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fcitx5-zhuyin/5.0.11-1build1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-lunar to verification-done-lunar. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-lunar. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s) fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in -proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

I verified the test results and am satisfied that they show the executed planned test case, and that the results are correct.

I also checked that the rebuild log shows linking with the desired -dev package.

The package built correctly in all architectures and Ubuntu releases it was meant for.

There are no DEP8 regressions.

There is no SRU freeze ongoing at the moment.

There is no halted phasing on a previous update.
