Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
On gutsy, with an intel graphic card, I have cases where opengl programs cannot refresh.
Here is how to reproduce, on a gutsy machine with an intel graphic card:
1. activate desktop effects
2. start glxgears
3. move the window so that its right edge is on the right of the right edge of the screen
At this point, the glxgears window is no longer refreshed (appears black).
Also (but this might be unrelated), if I do the same on the left of the screen, glxgears crashes with that output:
DRM_I830_CMDBUFFER: -22
and returns 1.
I have tested on another gutsy install on a machine with an nvidia card and using nvidia proprietary drivers, and it works fine. It also works fine with another machine with an intel graphic card and running hardy.
compiz 1:0.6.0+
xserver-
$ lspci -nn | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:29c2] (rev 02)
I have attached the xorg log.

The Hardy Heron Alpha series is currently under development and contains an updated version of the -intel driver. You can download and try the new Hardy Heron Alpha release from http:// cdimage. ubuntu. com/releases/ hardy/ . You should be able to test the new -intel driver using the LiveCD. If you can, please verify if this bug still exists or not and report back your results. General information regarding the release can also be found here: http:// www.ubuntu. com/testing/ .
Thanks.
