It is supported, just the name of the GPU is unknown in 22.04. This has been fixed already in later Ubuntu versions and should not affect performance at all.

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
Release: 22.04
Codename: jammy

This doesn't seem to be the problem.
As someone stated in askubuntu, this might be due to the kernel version?

The fix appears to only be in Ubuntu 22.10 and later. Not 22.04.1.

But it's purely decoration. Not knowing the GPU name in Ubuntu 22.04.1 does not prevent the driver from identifying it by number and supporting it fully. There is no real bug here.
