Thank you for taking the time to file a bug and make Ubuntu better.
I see that you're using Xenial, whose standard support has ended back in 2021. For this reason, I am closing this bug as Won't Fix.
On top of that, I have quickly checked the DpkgTerminalLog.txt file attached to this bug and noticed the following snippet:
