Bug Description
Please remove src:qtav and src:matrix-mirage from kinetic.
qtav:
It requires further upstream work for FFMPEG 5. While some such efforts have been started [1], qtav has been marked by upstream as "no longer maintained" [2], so I'm not expecting further progress.
Digikam formerly depended on qtav, and it's immediate solution for this problem was to drop video playback, then psuedo-vendor and cleanup the qtav code as part of the Digikam codebase [3].
qtav does have a remaining reverse dependency, in the form of matrix-mirage.
Package has been removed from Debian Testing [4].
matrix-mirage:
The package is pseudo-unmaintained upstream, having been forked to a new project called "moment" [5]. The moment maintainers seem to be running the mirage issue tracker these days. The package might otherwise be fine, but to complete the FFMPEG transition related work and have a clean NBS, choices need to be made.
Package has no reverse dependencies.
Package orphaned by Debian Developer, perhaps due to the above issues [6].
Package has been removed from Debian Testing [7].
