Bug Description
I tried wireshark in root mode in Hardy. When I selected wireless connection and I pressed List the available... wireshark halted and I have to close it by killing from console.
To reproduce:
1. install wireshark
2. from a terminal, run gksu wireshark (do not use sudo directly nor kdesu)
3. if needed get rid of the warning window about running as root (window can be hidden behind wireshark window)
4. from the menu choose Capture -> Interfaces...
5. click the 'Close' button
6. observe wireshark appears to be frozen (There is a dumpcap process running with options -S and -M. Killing dumpcap with signal 10=SIGUSR1 'unfreezes' wireshark.)
To test fix:
- install fixed software
- repeat steps 2 through 5 above
- observe wireshark continues to work as expected (i.e. 'Close' button just closes interface window opened in step 4)
