As detailed in an upstream announcement [0], the OVN 22.09.0 branch has been created but the release is delayed. The estimated date for release is Friday September 16th.
This new upstream version includes fixes and new features that are important for our community, and we would like to include it in the Ubuntu Kinetic release.
We have included a version of this package in one of the OpenStack Team's charm test suites with successful results [1]. A preview of the snapshot package [2][3] can be viewed in the ovn-dev PPA [4].
Our plan towards the release is the following:
- Upload a snapshot based on the current 22.09 branch if FFe is ACK'd.
- As soon as the upstream release is cut we will upload a new package based on the released source artifacts.
