Bug Description

Here is a link to the build log: https://launchpadlibrarian.net/620191401/buildlog_ubuntu-kinetic-ppc64el.siridb-server_2.0.48-1_BUILDING.txt.gz

I also confirmed that doing a no-change-rebuild of siridb-server against pcre2 10.40-1 has this issue, so it was not introduced by the recent siridb-server upload.

The changes look reasonable to me, but I'd love to understand why this causes issues on that architecture only?

The attachment "pcre2_10.40-1ubuntu1.debdiff" seems to be a debdiff. The ubuntu-sponsors team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review and hopefully sponsor the debdiff. If the attachment isn't a patch, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the "patch" tag, and if you are member of the ~ubuntu-sponsors, unsubscribe the team.

This bug was fixed in the package pcre2 - 10.40-1ubuntu1

---------------
pcre2 (10.40-1ubuntu1) kinetic; urgency=medium

  * debian/rules: Build with --with-link-size=3 on ppc64el to avoid "regular
expression too large" errors (LP: #1987850).
