Screensaver flashes the screen with fglrx 8.02

When the screensaver shall activate the "blank" screensaver... the screen flickers in all different colors and looks like the old CRT monitors when they were dieing and said "goodbye"
I thought the first time that this was the end of my laptop...

Dell Inspiron 9300 Laptop with radeon fglrx driver
Gnome screensaver version 2.21.6-0ubuntu3
Ubuntu Hardy alpha 5 with all updated as of today.

Confirmed here too with the same computer,

Hardy alpha 6
VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc M22 [Mobility Radeon X300] [1002:5460]
Happens with both compiz or metacity
Does not happen with the opensource ATI driver, only fglrx

It would be interesting to know if this bug happens with all ATI cards with fglrx or just the mobility radeon X300.

    - Diagonal tearing will no longer be noticed when playing a video file
    using a video player that utilizes the XVideo extension
    - Video playback will no longer look blocky when playing a video file
    using a video player that utilizes the XVideo extension
