Bug Description

When starting cheese I see my picture, but it's without color and with stripes.
It looks like a "bad TV Filter" or something, but I made sure no effect is selected at all.

In the secont test of the bug reporting process, which appears to show the "original" camera image via gstreamer, the image is also wrong, but in another way. it's completely dark, but looking more closely, it seems to be the cam image, but extremely darkened so only a few of the most white parts of the actual image visible.

Taking an actual shot with cheese seems to produce the actual image as is without any of both of these problems, so it seems to be the preview thats in error.

Thank you for your bug report, could you try if the update on https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/clutter-gst-3.0/3.0.27-2ubuntu1 helps?

yes i can test that, no problem!
But which of the debs do I need to install - one, some or all? and is
there a "simple" command to do it or should I click through to the
debs and manually download them?
(just started to look into and found there are some debs after a few
clicks, but now sure which to chose, some have also multiple builds...

Hmm, ok I didnt want to wait for an answer, manually downloaded thze *build2* versions, but realized I appear to have them already:

$ apt search gst-3.0
Sorting... Done
Full Text Search... Done
gir1.2-clutter-gst-3.0/jammy,now 3.0.27-2build2 amd64 [installed]
  Gobject introspection data for Clutter GStreamer elements

libclutter-gst-3.0-0/jammy,now 3.0.27-2build2 amd64 [installed,automatic]
  Open GL based interactive canvas library GStreamer elements

and also:
$ apt search gstreamer1.0-clutter-3.0
Sorting... Done
Full Text Search... Done
gstreamer1.0-clutter-3.0/jammy,now 3.0.27-2build2 amd64 [installed,automatic]
  Clutter PLugin for GStreamer 1.0

If that is not the right thing to try, please let me know what exactly I should do - thanks ;)

But, I also made a general apt update/upgrade, and after a reboot, this problem is gone.

But I dont understand which of these updates could have helped there:
