I have found that the flatpak version of pysolfc plays without problems.

I have tested and confirmed the issue is seen on Jammy, Mantic and Noble. Also confirmed that Focal is not affected.

The upstream patch at https://github.com/shlomif/PySolFC/commit/79d27d2749c906040073909a2a7c1162282b806c will need changes in the copyright file and has been discussed at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pysolfc/+bug/1967793/comments/8
