Bug Description

When launching kpackage (KDE4 with kubuntu 7.10) from the K-menu, it asks for root password instead of user password. I believe it should use kdesudo instead of kdesu.

Good find. I will work on a fix either tonight or within the next couple of days as we are just now starting to get access to the 4.0.2 release for package building. Thanks!

This bug was fixed in the package kdeadmin-kde4 - 4:4.0.3-0ubuntu2

---------------
kdeadmin-kde4 (4:4.0.3-0ubuntu2) hardy; urgency=low

  * Added debian/patches/kubuntu_01_use_sudo.diff to make kpackage use
    sudo by default (LP: #196294)
