Thanks for the bug report.

bluez has not changed at all since 2022-01-13 so the problem isn't going to be that. Next I would usually blame the kernel but that hasn't changed since 2022-01-27.

I don't see anything in comment #2 related to Bluetooth either (maybe pipewire?). Can you provide more of the log?

affects: bluez (Ubuntu) → ubuntu
Changed in ubuntu:
status: New → Incomplete

In case the cause is https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pipewire/0.3.47-1ubuntu1 can you please try reinstalling the previous version's packages from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pipewire/0.3.47-1/+build/23181674 ?

Yes, going back to this version solves this bug. But it needs to go
back to older versions of a variety of dependencies too.

Thanks for testing that. This puts us in an awkward position because PipeWire is not meant to be used for audio or Bluetooth in Ubuntu. Not sure if Xubuntu planned to do anything different.

I am hopeful this issue is a side effect related to bug 1953052 in which case it may be fixed by https://salsa.debian.org/utopia-team/pipewire-media-session/-/merge_requests/1 when PulseAudio becomes the only option again.

affects: ubuntu → pipewire (Ubuntu)
