Flameshot can't take screenshots, 22.04, wayland

With all current packages from Jammy, Flameshot does nothing when I click on the top bar icon and select "Take screenshot". If, after doing that, I click on the icon again and select "Quit", *then* as Flameshot is exiting it pops up a notification that says "Unable to capture screen".

There's some discussion that seems relevant at https://github.com/flameshot-org/flameshot/issues/1910, but that discussion claims screenshots work in Flameshot 10.2, and that appears to be the version currently in Jammy, so I'm not sure why it's not working.

Screenshots work in Xorg session.

You have to have xdg-desktop-portal-gnome installed on your system. This requirement is listed as recommendation and should be pullin in automatically, but I don't know why your system did not have it installed.

Also tested this bug on ubuntu 22.04 development branch

by default apt policy says xdg-desktop-portal-gnome is not installed neither here

i can reproduce what Jonathan described

This bug was fixed in the package flameshot - 0.10.2+ds1-2
