We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test. If you then find the bug is still present in the newer Ubuntu version, please add a comment here telling us which new version it is in.
Your issue with upgrade maybe caused by installation of 3rd party packages (eg. you appear to have used https:/ /launchpad. net/~ubuntu- toolchain- r/+archive/ ubuntu/ test?field. series_ filter= xenial but may have used other sources as I only looked at one problem package) where such 3rd party sourced packages should be removed; the upgrade performed, then packages re-added to your system if still required.
