This is caused by a manual call to defoma in the prerm:

PACKAGE=ttf-arphic-uming

defoma-font -f purge-all /etc/defoma/hints/${PACKAGE}.hints

-f is not an option for defoma-font; additionally, dh_installdefoma added the necessary stanza already, so this should simply be removed entirely.
