Bug Description

My hardware:

Browsing YouTube with Google Chrome.
Works fine with 18.04.
Tried Ubuntu MATE 20.04.02.
High level of noise with 20.04. When reboot to 18.04 noise goes away.

Not Hardware. Just bad code in 20.04.02 audio.

Is it a kernel regression? Can you please try 20.04 with kernel 4.15?

Can you please try 20.04 with kernel 4.15?

How? I am not a Linux guru, only an expert system (both hardware and
software) designer. Apparently the kernel coders made some assumptions
about the hardware. I will continue to use 18.04 until one of the “updates”
actually works.

P.S. I only recommend Ubuntu because Microsoft and Apple are so much worse!
